CAFOD Club

CAFOD Club is a faith-based charity where children can put the values of Catholic Social Teaching into action to support our global family. At St. Joseph’s children in Year 2 and Year 3 have the opportunity to meet every Wednesday lunch time to plan, co-ordinate and organise their next project. CAFOD club is led by Mrs Hughes.

This half term CAFOD Club will be fundraising for the CAFOD Gift – Teach someone to read. Reading is a skill that lasts a lifetime and for the cost of £12, CAFOD can provide help using programmes where children and young women build skills and confidence, gaining the tools to shape their futures. It also offers comfort, hope, and the chance to explore new worlds beyond their daily challenges.

We will be hosting a book sale at the Christmas Fayre on 4th December.

CAFOD – Teach Someone to Read

We raised £120.00 through our CAFOD book sale which was donated to Teach Someone to Read programme. This donation will help 10 people be able to learn to read, giving confidence and life skills for a better future.
