Vision, Values, Ethos & Mission

We have a wonderfully supportive, nurturing and inclusive ethos, ensuring that every pupil in our school is treated as the individual they are and encouraged to be the best they can be.

Mission Statement

St. Joseph’s is a happy and caring Catholic school where everyone aspires to reach their true potential with Christ at the heart of all we do.

Our Motto

To fulfil our mission we aim to: 

  • Develop a safe, secure and nurturing environment in which everyone is valued and enabled to grow in self-esteem and confidence. 
  • Foster the spiritual and moral development of the children within the context of the Catholic faith, whilst sustaining a respect and understanding of other faiths and beliefs. 
  • Educate the whole child to the very best that they are capable of, through a broad balanced curriculum which recognises, values and enhances their talents.

Number Day in Year 2

Year 2 had a fantastic Number Day! They took part in a number scavenger hunt; explored odd and even numbers; played Times Table Rockstars; designed a number day t-shirt and enjoyed a game of bingo.

Year 2 RE

In RE, Year 2 have been exploring the story of the Last Supper. After reading Luke’s Gospel, they retold the scripture through role play.

Year 1 Celebration of the Word

Year 1 participated in Celebration of the Word in their classroom. They talked about their homeless charity, Centrepoint and how they could help homeless people. The children added a donation and a warm coat to their focal point table.
