Making Challah bread during our Judaism topic in RE.

Science

We explored the local habitats in the park to see what living things we could find.

Making Chairs in DT

In DT we listened to the story ‘There’s a bear in my chair’ and then worked in pairs to design, build and test our own chairs for Chalky the polar bear.

Stick transformation project

In Art, we took on the challenge of a stick transformation project. We explored the different sticks we could find outside and used them to create stick people on the grass.

Then we used our sticks to create worry dolls. We wrapped them with coloured wool, drew faces and even created some clothes and hair.

RE- Making good and wrong choices

As part of our RE, we have been learning about good and wrong choices. We role played some scenarios to discuss which choices were good and which were wrong.

ICT

In ICT we have been using the computers to make pictograms. We surveyed the class to find our favourite colours, fruit and animals and then inputted the data to make pictograms.

Barnardo’s

This year we picked Barnardo’s as our class charity. We leant all about the work they do and then created a video to tell our friends and family about the charity.

Beamish Museum

We had a fantastic day at Beamish Museum. We loved riding on the tram, learning about and playing with old toys and the Rotary club very kindly bought us all an ice cream!
